PICKLES
ALL ABOUT THE PICKLE
It all started with my friend’s grandma’s pickle recipe. She had this brine that hit just right — tangy, crunchy, spicy, a little mysterious — and every so often, my friend would make a small batch. I’ll be honest: I was never a big pickle person. But this one? It hit every flavor note perfectly.
One day, our team at work was planning a potluck. A mass text went out asking what everyone was bringing, and I casually replied: “Pickles.” I got a few eye emojis in response.
Before our shift, we usually have a huddle to go over work stuff. I walked in carrying a bag of pickles, and everyone burst out laughing — “He really brought pickles!” I just smiled and said, “Yup.”
People were curious. They joked about it — “Who brings pickles to a potluck?” — until they actually tried them. And that’s when everything changed. They were gone in minutes. Then came the questions: “Where did you get these?” “Can I get a jar?” And eventually: “Hey, can you bring more?”
So I kept going back to my friend, asking for more batches. He was cool about it at first, but eventually he laughed and said, “You’re gonna have to learn to make these yourself.”
So I did.
Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I got obsessed. I began tweaking the recipe, trying different flavor combos, testing and retesting each batch until it felt like something of my own. The requests at work didn’t slow down — they actually picked up. People wanted jars every week. I became “the pickle guy.”
Eventually, I realized I had something real. I spent months perfecting the recipes based on feedback, brainstorming names with friends, even crowdsourcing logo ideas. That’s how Delishi Pickles was born — from a shared family recipe, a little potluck chaos, and a whole lot of love for bold, unforgettable flavor.
Every jar we make today still carries that same energy — playful, craveable, and totally unexpected. Each flavor has its own mascot and personality. From the classic crunch of Panda to the bold heat of the Fox and Dragon, our pickles aren’t just sides — they’re conversation starters.
And yes, I still bring them to every potluck.
